Big-D continues to do BIG things!

On Tuesday, January 25th, an awards dinner and ceremony was held at Sandy City Hall, where Big-D was presented with the 2010 Community Development Contractor of the Year Award (specifically for our work on the Alta View Specialty Center).

The Sandy Summit Awards program, which is in its fourth year, honors and recognizes those who have “reached an extraordinary pinnacle of service to Sandy City.” There were nine awards given out this year.

Mayor Tom Dolan and the Sandy City Council had this to say about Big-D:

“Over the years, Sandy City has had many dealings with Big-D Construction on many projects - most recently, the Alta View Hospital Surgical Center for Intermountain Health Care. Our City Building Officials commented that Big-D Construction always wants to do the project right and will do what it takes to get it right. When Sandy City had a problem on a project, they worked with our City to resolve the problem and did not look for the easy way out. It is refreshing to see a company that takes pride in their projects, builds according to local building and safety codes, and communicates well with our building officials. Working with companies like this makes the City a great place to work and live. It is truly a pleasure to name Big-D Construction as Sandy City’s 2010 Community Development Contractor of the Year.”

Other successful projects that Big-D has built in the City of Sandy include: AT&T, Creek Road Office Building, Lowe’s, Kick 66, Washington Mutual, Momentum Indoor Climbing and multiple Tesoro projects.
