UNIVERSITY OF UTAH COLLEGE OF SOCIAL WORK

Total Size: 16,615 square feet
Duration: 12 months
Location: Salt Lake City, UT

The new Wilford W. and Dorothy P Goodwill Humanitarian Building for the College of Social Work is an 18,000 square foot multi-functional building. The main level of the building provides ample space to be dedicated to community outreach programs. This level is highlighted with a public meeting room just off of the main corridor, which allows for one large function or two separate functions totake place at the same time. This room boasts a sound insulated, panelized dividing door along with separate audio visual systems for both sides of the room.

Just like the first floor, the second level was also designed to be multi-functional. With 3 large wireless classrooms, 4 family observation rooms, staff offices, a reception area and a board room, the activities on the second floor are countless. Another unique design element for this project was the addition of a sky bridge, which allows students and faculty to easily integrate their work between the existing and new social work buildings.
