Big-D Construction Corp., California was selected by the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Indian Tribe to provide exclusive construction management and construction services for The Palace Indian Gaming Center, near Lemoore, California.
The facility — comprising nearly 500,000 square feet — includes a 177,000 square-foot casino expansion, an eighty-story 5 star hotel addition, and 53,000 square feet of new warehouse space. The 235,000 square-foot, crescent-shaped hotel includes 255 rooms, 40 suites, two swimming pools, fitness center, piano bar, restaurants, coffee shop, 8 banquet rooms (accommodating up to 300 people), conference center, day spa, and a 2,000-seat amphitheater.
The oversized room's average 580 square feet; much larger than the industry standard of 450 square feet. 19 of the 40 suites are multi-level, and feature Jacuzzi tubs, tile entryways, wet bars and premium furnishings. The facility also includes two 1,365 square-foot suites for VIPs.
The scope-of-work for this project included extensive infrastructure preparation, earthwork, demolition, new utilities, fire sprinklers, electrical, and mechanical work. Incorporated a new central heat plant for the entire facility.
