South Mountain Retail

South Mountain Retail Pad A is a ground up, 2,995-sf mixed-use building zoned across 1.62 acres in Tempe, constructed for future restaurant tenants. The facility includes a shell build-out for a distinctive retro-inspired, 1,600-sf Starbucks drive-thru with 85 associated parking stalls and additional plaza sitework. The project scope encompasses onsite and offsite utility improvements, traffic signals, median re-configuration, drive approaches, building electrical, mechanical, plumbing and other related elements. Grading and drainage, hardscape and landscape areas are also part of the sphere. The building structure is composed of CMU walls and a wood-framed roof. An accelerated schedule allowed the team to complete construction in just four months. RKAA, a nationally recognized commercial architect, was the design partner on this pursuit.
