Cook Family Park

This 20-acre city project combines recreational areas, cemetery expansion, and significant infrastructure improvements at the city’s center. The recreation area includes a three-story playground, splash pad, basketball court, two futsal courts, soccer fields, skate park, bicycle pump track, trails, pavilions, restrooms, and shade structures. The cemetery expansion contains hundreds of plots, a columbarium, and a gathering pavilion. Preliminary work included demolition of existing structures and hazardous materials mitigation. The scope also involved expansion and reconstruction of surrounding streets with utilities, curb, gutter, sidewalk, pavement, lighting, landscaping, irrigation, fencing, walls, and parking. Four detention ponds with multiple storm drain lines manage stormwater for the area.
