FMI Morenci Mine Heap Leach Stacking Equipment

Construction of three ramp super-portable conveyors for Terra Nova Technologies. The site is located at the Freeport-McMoRan Morenci Mine and supports building mine leach stockpiles to produce copper. The Morenci Mine uses portable ore conveying and stacking equipment to progressively build their leaching stockpiles. These stockpiles are vital components of the mining process, and their efficient management directly impacts copper production. Big-D Heavy Industrial was meticulous in constructing the conveyors, self-performing structural and mechanical assemblies. Each conveyor has a length of over 250 feet and is track-mounted to facilitate their mobility, allowing them to traverse ramps and navigate across stockpiles with ease.
